BAZAAR - NEW YORK, NY

SCOPE: A Restaurant Proposal

SIZE: 4000 Sq. Ft

CLIENT: Self-initiated project

Bazaar is a concept for an upscale Persian restaurant and bar that reinterprets the spatial traditions of the Persian bazaar through a contemporary dining experience, bringing together Persian cuisine, hospitality, architecture and music.

The double-height central space is crowned by a dramatic translucent dome inspired by traditional Persian geometries. Its faceted surface creates a luminous focal point above the main dining room, lounge and bar while contributing to the acoustic quality of the space.

Surrounding the central gathering space, smaller vaulted dining niches offer more intimate experiences, with elevated seating areas separated by intricately patterned screens. The organization draws from the traditional Persian bazaar, where smaller chambers and passageways unfold around larger communal spaces and courtyards.

Conceived as a contemporary expression of Persian culture rather than a literal recreation of its architecture, Bazaar creates an immersive environment where food, design and hospitality become vehicles for cultural discovery.
