This renovation was inspired by a painting of deep personal significance to the client—a gift he and his late wife had received from an artist and wished to make central to the home.

I-Beam Design incorporated the vibrant red and pink painting into a custom wall of built-in cabinetry, transforming it into both artwork and architecture. Conceived as a three-dimensional puzzle, the cabinetry accommodates an extensive collection of music, films, ceramics and objects alongside an integrated entertainment system. Cabinet doors painted in colors drawn from the artwork extend its composition across the wall, while the painting itself becomes a concealed door within the installation.
