Gokaldas Images commissioned I-Beam Design to create its New York headquarters and showroom—a flexible environment for presenting diverse clothing collections without competing with the garments themselves.
Conceived as a seamless, dream-like landscape, the floors, walls, screens, and furniture flow together in continuous white epoxy resin, creating a sense of weightlessness in which the clothing appears to float through the space. Suspended stainless-steel rods on sliding tracks allow displays to be reconfigured in minutes.
The concept of levitation was inspired by the showroom’s location high above Times Square, where wraparound windows frame expansive views of the Manhattan skyline. The result is an ethereal, adaptable environment at the intersection of fashion, architecture, and urban experience.
