Conceived as a journey through time and space, Big Bang was a design proposal for the transformation of a former warehouse into an immersive nightclub environment inspired by the wonders of the universe.
The concept envisioned the interior as a constellation of fiber optics, illuminated domes, spheres and glowing bubbles. Orbs of varying scales were designed to serve multiple functions—as light fixtures, skylights and intimate seating pods with adjustable enclosures that could be lowered to create greater acoustic privacy.
Translucent bubbles penetrating the roof plane were conceived to bring natural light into the space during the day and project light from the dance floor toward the rooftop sky bar at night. Throughout the project, these elements would take on different roles as seating, water features, planters, light fixtures and portals offering glimpses between levels.
A mezzanine lounge and bar overlooking the main dance floor would provide a more intimate vantage point, while the DJ booth—suspended within an orb above the crowd—would become a focal point of the interior. Light and projected imagery across the spherical surfaces were envisioned to continually transform the atmosphere, creating an immersive and otherworldly nightlife experience.
